WATER QUALITY DATA IN A NATIONAL CONTEXT

Documentation of graphs and methods

This Web page contains supporting documentation for the graphs included in the appendices of the 16 NAWQA Summary Reports published in 2000 and 2001 by the USGS. Graphs were made for 9 different groups of chemicals and trace elements (hereafter called "constituents"), and for 16 different study areas where river basins and aquifers were assessed (hereafter called Study Units). These graphs put water quality data from each Study Unit into a national context.

You may view the available summary reports by clicking in Table 1 below. As reports are published and processed for the world-wide web, they will be added here.

Table 2 contains the lists of constituent names and reporting limits used in the summary reports.
